Many times we think modeling is just showing up to take pictures. It is a lot more than that. You must get as much knowledge as you can. Learn to have patience and focus. Many people allow modeling to get the frustrated. It will not happen overnight. It will take some work. You are not going to get discovered today and be famous tomorrow.

This will save you time and some great pictures. Sometimes more eyes will make sure that certain things are in place to make sure you get a great picture. Just you and a photographer could create pics that you could regret. Take some other eyes.

Don't attach your press quotes unless asked. Make sure your headshot/resume is no large than 8 1/2" by 11". This will fit into a folder. If the headshot is oversized, it may end up in the trash.

One of the reasons Yoanna won season 2 and Melrose placed second last season was because they knew a lot about the fashion industry. They knew about other models, designers, and the magazines they could be appearing in. If you want to be a model but know nothing about modeling, the judges might not think you’re really serious about your desires.
